So, Michael!Dean is on the loose. To kill him, they need an archangel blade and an archangel. If I remember correctly, they have a blade, but no archangel. But wait. Jack was drained of some of his grace, but not all of it. As soon as his grace renews itself, he calls for Gabriel, waking him in the Empty. Gabriel annoys the fuck out of the Empty using his kazoo and arsenal of tricks. The Empty YEETS him back to life. They give Gabriel the archangel blade and he goes to kill Michael. He succeeds, but kills Dean along with Michael. Now Dean is dead, but Billie/Death said that she would cast the Winchesters into the Empty.
